Want to create a unique video Valentine for your sweetie? Why not create a customshort? A customshort is an animated video that you can customize. FREE Digital Photo Software from Google
February 1, 2007 by Kim · Leave a Comment
I recently downloaded Picassa, Google’s photo organization and sharing software. This software is AWESOME. When I first intalled Picassa, it searched my entire hard drive for photos and displayed them in neat little folders. It found photos that I didn’t know I even had! My computer is over 5 years old… and to be honest with you, I didn’t do a very good job organizing my digital photos when I first got my computer. Picasa also found some photos that were meaningless and were just using up my hard drive space. So I quickly deleted those.
Not only will Picasa let you find and organize your photos, you can easily edit and add effects to them too. You can also easily share your photos with with friends and family through email, prints, and the web. It’s fast, easy, and FREE!
You can also get some other great software in Google Pack.
Great Book for Digital Video Beginners

I purchased The Little Digital Video Book by Michael Rubin on Amazon last year. This is a great little book for those who are brand new to digital video. This book teaches you how to shoot well, organize easily, and quickly edit your own footage. This book is not filled with jargon like so many of the digital video books are. This book is truly for beginners and comes highly recommended if you are just starting out your digital video hobby.

Check out this cool video gadget I just stumbled across. It’s called a Sticky Pod. This gadget mounts your camera in or on your vehicle using strong industrial cups. This would be a fun gadget to use on vacation. You could mount it to your car to record your trip.
For more information, click the image below to visit the Sticky Pod website.
Here are a sample of the Sticky Pod in action. It’s a little pixelated… but you get can get the idea.

Throw out those awkward DVD labels. You can now print directly on DVDs with the Epson Stylus Photo R380 Inkjet Printer.
I recently purchased this Epson printer and have had a blast printing directly on my DVDs. I used to get so frustrated printing my labels and then trying to apply them to my DVDs without wrinkling them. Plus, I always worried that the labels would come loose in my DVD player and ruin it. Well I’m not worried about that anymore.
The Epson R380 comes with a special tray for your CDs and DVDs. You must use printable DVDs and CDs
. This printer also prints beautiful photos.
