Hitwise, an online competitive intelligence service, reported that Apple’s iTunes’ website visits jumped more than 400% on Christmas Day, compared to Christmas Day 2005. They attribute the rise in visits to all the new iPod owners trying to download the latest version of iTunes.

iTunes is a great place to grab music and podcasts for your iPod. However, it’s also a great place to get music for your home video scrapbooks. Please be aware that most of the music you download is copyrighted and you can only use it for personal use. For example, you should not put copyrighted music on your videos if you plan to sell them, create multiple copies, stream them on the internet, etc. Make sure you read and follow all the copyright rules when downloading and using music.
