That is wild! I didn’t even know there were one hundred songs about Halloween! Had no idea! TIME WARP is my all time FAV! I LOVE that song! When I worked for Duke TiP (Talent Identification Program) one summer, we ended EVERY night of that camp on the steps w/ all the Tipsters singing and dancing to this song! Good Memories, takes me back! I guess I will bust it out for my Elementary Students and we can all dance too!
That sounds like fun, Melanie. TIME WARP is a great song. It can get most anyone out of their chair.
I also like LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS.
Just surfing by but I found “Famous Monsters” in this article.
Hope you like,
K
Other good ones:
King of Pain - The Police
Don’t Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult
Sympathy for the Devil - Rolling Stone
Bad Moon Rising - CCR
Hotel California - The Eagles
Thanks, Andy! These are some good songs too… especially Hotel California. I love the Eagles.

Bloodletting- the entire album!
Good list:
I would also add a couple of more modern songs incase you want to mix things up a bit:
Outcast - Dracula’s wedding
Rihanna - Disturbia
A couple of old-school rock:
Guns N’ Roses - Welcome to the Jungle
AC/DC - Highway to Hell
Halloween Lover,
Awww… how could I have forgotten “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Highway to Hell”? Those are classics. Thanks for your suggestions.
KIM - i was scouring the net for some halloween song ideas and surfed many (MANY) pages and stumbled across your page - Im a DJ myself (22 yrs) let me just say that hands down WITHOUT QUESTION - best list!! most complete and easily the most “FUN” thx for leaving out the 4+ min. “spooky” instrumentals/ movie themes that are totally blah - who needs em?? they’re not fun and certainly won’t inspire anyone to dance. your list is a “10″ thank you for this!!
- if i may…
The Addams Family Groove - MC Hammer
The Crypt Jam - The Crypt Keeper
The Creeps (Fedde Le Grand RMX) - Camille Jones
My Boo - Ghost Town DJs
Enter Sandman - Metallica
Being an old guy, I know the old songs. “That Old Black magic” (has me in its spell. That old black magic that you weave so well. Those icy fingers up and down my spine. That same old witchcraft when you eyes meet mine. etc. It was written by the same guy, Harold Arlen, who wrote “Over the Rainbow” for the Wizard of Oz.)
Also, Sinatra (you may have heard of him) had a hit with a song titled just “Witchcraft.”
Thanks, DJ Shea-Butter. Glad you like the list and thanks for adding to it. Maybe next year I can post a top 200 list with all these great suggestions I’m getting.
Have a great Halloween!
Hey Tom! I learn something new every day. Thanks for the trivia and contributing. I’m off to iTunes right now to check out “That Old Black Magic”.
